Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question:
What are the main features of the ESS Replacement Lens, Polarized, Scratch-Resist, Polarized Smoke Gray 740-0455?
Answer: The ESS Replacement Lens features a polarized design that significantly reduces glare, making them ideal for bright conditions. Additionally, the scratch-resistant coating ensures durability and prolonged clarity, which is crucial for outdoor activities. The smoke gray tint provides excellent protection against bright sunlight while maintaining true color perception, making it a perfect choice for sports, driving, or outdoor adventures. -
Question:
How do I know if the ESS Replacement Lens fits my ESS eyewear?
Answer: To ensure a proper fit, check that your ESS eyewear model is compatible with the 740-0455 replacement lens. These lenses are specifically designed for select ESS frames, so referencing the manufacturer's specifications or your eyewear's model number can help confirm compatibility. For instance, if you have ESS products known for sport or tactical use, these lenses will enhance your visual performance and offer maximum protection. -
Question:
Are the ESS Replacement Lenses suitable for outdoor sports?
Answer: Yes, the ESS Replacement Lenses are excellent for outdoor sports due to their polarized nature, which minimizes glare from surfaces like water, snow, or pavement. This feature is particularly beneficial during activities like skiing, cycling, or fishing, where visibility is critical. The scratch-resistant property adds an extra layer of protection, ensuring your lenses remain clear and functional even in rugged environments. -
Question:
Can I use these replacement lenses for everyday wear?
Answer: Absolutely! The ESS Replacement Lenses provide optimal UV protection and clarity, which makes them ideal for everyday activities. Whether you're commuting, running errands, or enjoying outdoor leisure time, these polarized lenses enhance your vision comfort while shielding your eyes from harmful rays and glare. Their stylish design also makes them suitable for daily casual wear. -
Question:
How do I clean and maintain my ESS Replacement Lenses?
Answer: To clean your ESS Replacement Lenses effectively, use a microfiber cloth with a gentle lens cleaner to avoid scratches. Avoid using paper towels or rough materials, as they can damage the scratch-resistant coating. Regular maintenance will help ensure that your lenses retain their clarity, especially after use in dusty or dirty environments, allowing for an unobstructed view during your activities. -
Question:
What is the difference between polarized and non-polarized lenses?
Answer: Polarized lenses, like the ESS Replacement Lens, filter out horizontal light waves that cause glare, providing clearer and more comfortable vision in bright conditions. Non-polarized lenses do not have this feature and may be less effective in reducing sun glare. For activities involving reflective surfaces, polarized lenses enhance visual clarity significantly, making them a preferred choice for outdoor sports and adventures. -
Question:
Are these lenses suitable for prescription eyewear?
Answer: The ESS Replacement Lenses are not designed to be prescription lenses: they serve as standard replacements. If you need prescription eyewear for vision correction, consider using a separate frame that accommodates your prescription lenses. Pairing an ESS frame with prescription options can still allow you to enjoy the benefits of polarized lenses when needed, combining both functionality and vision correction. -
Question:
What colors do the ESS Replacement Lenses come in?
Answer: While the specific model 740-0455 features a polarized smoke gray tint, ESS offers various lens options in other colors as well, catering to different lighting conditions and personal preferences. Smoke gray is particularly effective in bright sunlight, while other hues like yellow or clear might be available for low-light or varying conditions. Choose based on your typical environment to enhance your viewing experience. -
Question:
How do polarized lenses benefit vision when driving?
Answer: Polarized lenses, such as the ESS Replacement Lens, are particularly beneficial when driving as they reduce glare from the sun and reflective surfaces like water or wet roads. This reduction in glare can enhance your contrast and visibility, helping you see clearly and react more quickly to changing driving conditions. Using these lenses will greatly improve your comfort and safety during your daily commute or road trips. -
