Customer Questions & Answers

  • Question: What are Sumgsn 173 Keys Doubleshot Keycaps made of?

Answer: The Sumgsn 173 Keys Doubleshot Keycaps are crafted from high-quality PBT plastic, which is known for its durability and resistance to shine over time. This material not only enhances the longevity of the keycaps but also ensures that the legends remain sharp and fade-resistant. Ideal for gamers and typists alike, these keycaps maintain a clean and fresh appearance even with heavy use.
  • Question: Will these keycaps fit my mechanical keyboard?

Answer: Yes, the Sumgsn 173 Keys Doubleshot Keycaps are designed to be compatible with Cherry MX switches and fit both ISO and ANSI layouts. If your mechanical keyboard utilizes Cherry-style switches, these keycaps will seamlessly integrate with it, providing a custom look without compromising functionality, making them perfect for a personalized gaming setup or a professional workstation.
  • Question: What is the significance of the doubleshot technique in keycaps?

Answer: The doubleshot technique means that the legends on the keycaps are molded from a different color of plastic rather than printed on. This results in more vibrant and durable legends that won't wear off over time. For users, this means that the keycaps not only enhance aesthetic appeal but also deliver functional strength, which is crucial for long gaming sessions or extensive typing.
  • Question: What is the design theme of the Apes keycaps set?

Answer: The Sumgsn Apes keycaps set features a distinctive and playful ape-themed design that adds a fun and unique flair to any keyboard. This theme can resonate with users who want to express their personality or interests through their setup, making the keyboard not just a tool but also a statement piece that reflects their style.
  • Question: Can I mix these keycaps with others?

Answer: While it's possible to mix keycaps, it's recommended to use similar profiles and materials for a coherent look and feel. The Cherry profile of these keycaps promotes a lower height that caters well to gamers and typists, offering comfort and accessibility. If you decide to mix them with keycaps from other sets, consider the aesthetic and tactile experience of your keyboard.
  • Question: How does the 7u spacebar fit into setups?

Answer: The 7u spacebar is compatible with a variety of keyboard layouts, particularly those with specific designs such as 65% and 75% keyboards. This spacebar width provides ample space for thumb placement, greatly enhancing typing efficiency and comfort during gameplay or regular typing tasks. This specific sizing also helps in achieving a balanced look on your custom setup.
  • Question: Are these keycaps suitable for gaming?

Answer: Absolutely, the Sumgsn 173 Keys Doubleshot Keycaps are not only aesthetically pleasing but also designed with gamers in mind. Their durable material ensures consistent performance across intense gaming sessions, while the colorful legends facilitate quick visual identification of keys. This makes them perfect for gamers who need responsive tactile feedback and reliable performance.
  • Question: What is the process for installing these keycaps?

Answer: Installing the Sumgsn keycaps is straightforward. Start by carefully removing the existing keycaps using a keycap puller to avoid damage. Next, align the new keycaps with the corresponding switches and press down gently until they click into place. This simple process allows you to easily customize your keyboard and experience the improved feel and look of your setup.
  • Question: How should I clean my keycaps?

Answer: To clean your Sumgsn keycaps, gently remove them and soak them in warm, soapy water for about 30 minutes. Use a soft brush to clean any debris stuck in the legends or crevices. Rinse and let them air dry completely before reattaching. Regular maintenance will keep your keycaps looking fresh and vibrant, enhancing the overall aesthetic of your keyboard.
  • Question: Where can I buy Sumgsn 173 Keys Doubleshot Keycaps?

Answer: You can buy the Sumgsn 173 Keys Doubleshot Keycaps set at Ubuy in Saint Kitts and Nevis. Ubuy offers a reliable platform with a comprehensive selection of keycap sets, ensuring a smooth purchasing experience for customers seeking to upgrade or customize their mechanical keyboards.
