The Flipper Max Magnet Cleaner is a highly effective and strong magnet cleaner for glass and acrylic aquariums that are up to one inch thick. It is made with some of the strongest rare earth magnets available, which makes it one of the less expensive magnet cleaners available that works on thick glass. It comes with a plastic blade for acrylic and a metal blade for glass. You can keep it inside the aquarium when not in use, but you should inspect it before use to make sure there are not calcium deposits, small critters or trapped debris that can cause scratches. Although the magnet itself doesn't wear out, the scrapper might cause some issues over time. It has notches to release trapped sand that might get over the blade, which might make you go over and stay in the same area longer. Also, it might not be strong enough to scrape hard algae off the glass, and it depends on how thick the acrylic or glass is of the aquarium.
