The Army Painter Paints WP8082C Editorial Review
The Army Painter Historical: WWII American Paint Set Combo has garnered an overwhelmingly positive reception among hobbyists and miniature painters. Users are particularly thrilled about the thoughtfully curated selection of 20 paints, which includes a mix of 14 acrylic colors, 4 washes, and 2 specialty paints (one metallic and one effect), perfectly tailored for painting U.S. Armed Forces during World War II. Many reviewers noted the authenticity of the paint colors, capturing historical accuracy that makes it an excellent choice for modeling both war figures and dioramas. The thicker, creamier Consistency of the Warpaints Fanatic range has been praised for facilitating better application and coverage, with many users emphasizing that the paints flow more smoothly than other brands, perhaps even Citadel paints. While some users experienced the need for additional coats with certain lighter colors and found the reds a bit muted, these aspects did not significantly detract from the overall satisfaction with the product. The included washes have received particular acclaim for enhancing the details on various textures, making them versatile enough for figures beyond just the WWII theme. The set also includes a decent brush and a mini painting guide, which, while promotional, provides useful beginner tips and encourages new painters. The storage aspect of the kit, using plastic trays that can be reused for organization, has also been positively noted. Overall, this paint set has been recognized as a must-have for both enthusiasts seeking authenticity and those looking for quality paints for miniature projects. **
