What power supply is required for this product?
Answer: Compatible power supply for the TI-PE50 is model: TI-S12048 (sold separately). Hardened devices with existing electrical systems can also supply power to TI-PE50. Check detailed product specifications on TRENDnet website under Products section for exact power requirements. -
Question:
Will the voltage on this switch's poe ports damage network devices that are not poe enabled? also, why no uplink for connection to another switch?
Answer: No power is provided to non-PoE devices. No uplink is available for TI-PE50 switch. -
Question:
To supply redundant power, would you use the TI-S24048 power supply?
Answer: For redundant power, two power supplies hook up to TI-PE50 switch. TI-S12048 or TI-S24048 can be used. Two of either model or one of each can be hooked up to the switch. -
Question:
What PoE standards are supported and should I be concerned about voltage?
Answer: TRENDnet PoE Switches will support 802.3af, 802.3at, or 802.3bt. If the powered device requires specific voltage ranges and is not 802.3af, 802.3at, or 802.3bt compliant it will not function with TRENDnet Switches regardless if it fits within the voltage range of standardized PoE specifications. TI-PE50 supports 802.3af and 802.3at. -

Is the chassis isolated from the negative input terminals?
Answer: Yes, it is isolated. -

What is a PoE budget and how much does this switch have?
Answer: Each Switch has a maximum amount of power that can be supplied to powered devices. This is the overall amount of power for the entire Switch. TI-PE50 has a PoE power budget of 90W using power supply model: TI-S12048 (sold separately). -
Question:
How do I login to this switch to configure it?
Answer: TI-PE50 is an unmanaged Switch. It does not have a management interface and is not configurable. -
Question:
Why can I only get internet on one device with this switch?
Answer: A Switch cannot share an IP address provided by your ISP with multiple devices. You will need a Router to share your Internet service with multiple devices. The Switch can be used to expand the amount of available ports on your network.
