Identifiquen la estructura básica que subyace a cada tipo de problema. Aprendan a representar la información compleja mediante un dibujo o una cuadrícula. Consigan ser conscientes de su propio proceso de solución de problemas, de las estrategias que aplican, de sus aciertos y errores. Aprendan a autorregular, de forma autónoma, el proceso de solución de problemas matemáticos. Este cuaderno consta de tres partes: Cómo introducir a los niños y niñas en la identificación de la estructura básica de los problemas matemáticos. En esta parte se ayudará a los niños a tomar conciencia de la existencia de una estructura básica en todos los problemas matemáticos y a identificar aquellas estructuras más sencillas. Entrenamiento para identificar la estructura básica de los problemas matemáticos. En esta parte los niños aprenderán a diferenciar entre enunciados matemáticos muy semejantes y a familiarizarse con las estructuras de los problemas más frecuentes.
