Aynı dil ve aynı imanın tezahür etmemesinden oluşan bu gerilim, Müslüman Türk’e yönelik bir düşmanlık başlatmış; bizi öz yurdumuzda garip, öz vatanımızda parya hâline getirmiştir. Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun yükseliş döneminde dahi Müslüman Türk’e yönelik nefret devam etmiş, İslam Kılıcı Müslüman Türk’ü devlet yönetiminden uzaklaştırmak için bir araç olarak kullanılmıştır. “Kadimî” mahlasıyla tanınan Hafız Hamdi Çelebi’de bir devşirmedir ve “Uktül-ü Türk’e velevkâne ebbâk” (Türk’ü öldür, baban olsa dahi) mısrası da şiirinden alınma çarpıcı bir kesittir.
